Episode Description: In 2014, Brittany Maynard, a 29-year-old woman with terminal brain cancer, moved from California to Oregon to take advantage of the death-with-dignity law. She later ended her life that same year. Today, physician aid-in-dying is legal in eight states and Washington D.C. What is a physician’s role in death, and can aid-in-dying be successfully instituted in the United States with our current healthcare system?
